Usable, but with work.

I needed extra high scope rings for my CZ527 Varmint in .223. The Millett Angle-Loc rings were the only ones I could find that would work. Factory CZ ones wouldn't and while Leopold lists some all the feedback I saw said they didn't actually work.
I, my friends and family have always trusted Millett rings and sights. So, I bought some. Upon opening the package I noticed that the casting was very rough and the screws tapped at crazy angles. They wouldn't mount in line with the bore, the top half of rings were very finicky about fitting, the front bottom half ring had a casting ledge that wouldn't allow the scope to seat. I could see daylight under the scope. The instructions were poor and written in poor English.
Inspired by a picture on the instructions regarding using a rod to straighten twist in rings I used an adjustable wrench to basically align the rings with the bore. I bought some 1" O-1 drill rod and some valve lapping compound and lapped the scope in.
I shot it and it seemed to be ok. I called Millett, now owned by Bushnell, and complained. Basically, they just listened and sent me a new set of rings that are of the same quality. I told them I wouldn't return the old ones and they were fine with that.
