Sorry, but please don't bother

As a very satisfied customer with Possum Hollow's bore guide and solvent port, I figured it was worth the $3 to try out this rod stop.
I understand why this is constructed entirely of plastic to prevent scratching the cleaning rod, but unfortunately that also makes it so flimsy that it simply cannot clamp to the rod without stripping out when the screw is tightened with even very moderate effort.
No matter how carefully I tightened the rod stop, it wouldn't stay in place at all, totally defeating its purpose.
The only way I can think of that would allow the entire bearing surface for a rod stop to be plastic would be to have an outer metal ring with a plastic inner ring, then have the threading in the outer metal ring with a nylon-tipped screw.
However, there already is another rod stop made by Pro-Shot constructed entirely of brass, and I can say that their rod stop locks 100% solidly, while at the same time not scratching the cleaning rod.
I highly recommend Possum Hollow's bore guide and solvent port, but please pass on their rod stop and instead get the Pro-Shot rod stop instead.
