It definitely makes it easier and neater to cleaning my rifle

I bought this to use together with Possum Hollow's bore guide, and I'm glad I did.
This solvent port nicely solves the mess I always made when I had to first saturate my cleaning patch, then run it into the bore.
Without the bore guide and this solvent port, the moment I ran my solvent-soaked patch into the breech, solvent would run down into the action and magazine, making a mess of things.
The way this is used is that you first the patch is attached to the jag, then pushed into the rear of the solvent port (the port already attached to the bore guide) until the tip of the jag is just at the front of the slot in the port, then you put a drop or two of solvent on the patch.
The o-ring on the port seals it up nicely so that no solvent runs rearward, which keeps things neat and ensures that all the solvent is kept in the bore, where it makes cleaning more effective.
I could have cleaned my Ruger .30-06 without this solvent port, but it was considerably easier and neater with the bore guide and port together.
If you can clean your rifle from the breech, I would highly recommend Possum Hollow's bore guide and solvent port.
