Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Again, great for making 257 Roberts.

By Kenneth K. on Apr 03, 2016
I got these with the express intent and purpose of forming into 257 Roberts casings. Lube, and run through full length sizer, trim, and ready to go.
I didn't run into any issues with the necks being dinged.
Great cartridges for the money, and Grafs service and delivery was great.

Good brass for reforming...

By Kenneth S. on Apr 10, 2015
I will second the other reviewer that this brass is excellent for reforming into 257 Roberts that are currently hen's teeth.

Before finding these I'd been forming from 25-06. These 7x57 don't require any hacksawing or even use of a form die. Running through a 257 Roberts sizing die with expander installed works fine. Cases come out perfect trim length.

A second advantage is that they are ready to load for 7x57 - an excellent under-appreciated cartridge.

Great for Forming 257 Roberts

By Robert C. on Sep 27, 2014
With the shortages, this is an excellent very low cost way of making 257 Roberts brass using a Redding trim die in one step. Privi brass is thick and tough even though it has been annealed which you can see in the two tone heat coloration since they do not do a finial polish. It is straighter than regular brass but I have found it necessary to neck turn for greater uniformity but I do this for all brass. Instead of limping along with just a few 257 Roberts cases waiting for reasonable price brass I now have a few hundred to clean and reload efficiently in batches.

7X57 PPU, 100 piece bag, count em

By S Peter P. on Aug 12, 2013
Generally acceptable - 10 percent case mouths were dinged up, 2 percent had to be scrapped, one case appeared to have gone through the PPU process sideways as it was so dented, body and shoulder. All primer pockets looked good and flash holes appeared to be perfectly centered.

Wish PPU threw in several extras or performed more quality control. You gotta get what is available and there are no low cost alternatives out there.

This brass will be formed into 6mm AI.

Great Quality for the Price!

By Charles K. on May 06, 2013
I use Prvi brass for all of my military surplus rifles, and it works great. With proper annealing, I have managed to get 8 to 12 reloadings out of this brass depending on the caliber. I can't say enough good about this brass. With out Prvi or Norma, military surplus collectors and shooters like me, would still be converting most of our brass.
