I bought this for a 30-30 lever gun. It does a fine job taking the edge off the recoil. It was easy to grind to a good clean looking fit, nobody seems to notice the pad, they just assume it came from the factory that way. If I had to do it over again I would choose the same model, just with a 0.80" thickness rather than the full 1.00". The length of pull is just a tad bit too long now, when shooting with a coat on. When I put it on in the summer I was shooting with a T-shirt on; and the weapon just flew to my shoulder perfect. I doubt a mere 0.20" will make that much difference with this firearm.
