LPR LARRY RACINE CUSTOM BUILT 8x57 MAUSER

By Lawrence B. on Jan 10, 2024
I am lucky to have a Tack Driver LPR/Larry Racine Custom Built 8X57 Mauser built off a Blue Printed Remington 700 Action, Bartlein Standard Target Barrel, Yankee Hill Machine Company (YHM) Brake, McMillan Thumbhole Stock, Atlas BT10 V8 Bipod, Jewell Trigger, NightForce 20MOA Picatinny Rail, Seekins Rings, and topped of with a Bushnell ELITE TACTICAL DMR II 3.5-21X50 RIFLESCOPE.
Loaded up with IMR 4350, CCI No. 200 Large Rifle Primer, and the PRVI PARTIZAN BULLET 8MM (.323) 198gr FMJBT. These Bullets shoot well above their price point out to 1,200-1,250 yds. This Barrel will eat these until it can't anymore. They'll stay Sub MOA easily to 900 yds.

Prvi 198

By Robert T. on Dec 25, 2023
I use these in many of my 8mm Mausers, I've always gotten good accuracy from them in all of them. My c.o.l. are generally consistent when seating them

6mm 198gr. FMJ projectile

By James P. on Jun 30, 2023
I use these all the time they provide excellent results. I shoot regularly in a club competition and when I shoot my Mauser 8mm I always place in the top, using this reload component, it is all I use when I reload.

Very accurate & Well Made Bullets!!!

By David L. on Jun 27, 2023
I loaded these PPU for my 8mm Mauser Sporter 98 rifle and was able to shoot a nice group of 1.5" using Varget powder! And, I am also using the PPU brand new brass for the loading! I would highly recommend this bullet!

Accuracy and reliability

I bought my first Mauser and this worked seamlessly in it.

Prvi Partizan 8mm .323" 198 gr FMJ

By Thomas C. on Mar 31, 2023
Prvi Partizan 8mm .323" 198 gr FMJ loaded in Prvi Partizan 8mm Mauser cases are my favorite components for duplicating Yugoslav ammunition. When loaded to duplicate military velocities; the sight adjustments on my Yugoslav model 48 are correct at least to 300 yards.

Perfect

By David S. on Mar 21, 2023
I loaded these for K98 , and a Yugo. They shot amazing through both guns. Plan to buy more I highly recommend them!

8mm Mauser

Great Value

By Kenneth H. on Oct 27, 2020
I'm reloading for a semi auto converted Maxim 08/15. These are the best bullets available for duplicating those old MG loads. And the price is fair. Just completed loading of 50 rounds and they look great!

I'm loading these in a egyptian FN-49 with a great bore.
I recently made a 5 shot rested group with these bullets, vhit n-140, and hornady brass thats hard to believe. Talking 1" groups here at 100, beating my best m1 garand hand loads. Thanks Grafs for having these available.

M76 Zastava

By Mark C. on Jul 16, 2020
This is the ideal round for the M76 Zastava with setting no.2. Combined with IMR 4064 for example you can imitate the old M75 Yugo sniper ammo with cleaner and better results past 500 meters!

PPU--great value

By David P. on Mar 27, 2020
I have come to appreciate the cost and value of PPU components after using their loaded ammo for some time. This is a great product and identical to the pulled Yugo projectiles I have that are over 50 years old. Will buy again

PPU 198 gr FMJBT

By Todd M. on Feb 25, 2020
This is a close copy of the German WWII bullet that remained stable for so long. Excellent general use 8mm bullet and even somewhat competitive as a fun shooting comp bullet.

Good bullets for surplus K98

By Robert H. on Feb 18, 2020
Shipped quickly and price cannot be beat! I will definitely order more.

Weight variance

By Scott F. on Jan 17, 2020
First off I would just like to say that I had these bullets on my doorstep within three days of ordering them. I was shocked at the speedy delivery great job!

I have not yet fired these bullets so I cannot speak to how they perform in that aspect.

The only thing I’d like to know is that the bullets are listed as being 198 grains. Only one single bullet came close at 197.8. The rest fell between 199.7 up to 201.

I don’t know how significant this is. I’ve reloaded separate groups where I have matched bullet weights and other groups with random bullet weights.

My main purpose for this purchase was “long range planking” i’m not hunting with this round and I’m not competing with this round so they may work just fine.

Otherwise it’s a great price for an otherwise difficult to fine or expensive around.

I’ll update this review once I have range data.

Good price on hard to find bullets

By Stanley S. on Jan 02, 2020

These are great for my K98. They are uniform, accurate, and affordable

Mausers

By TJ M. on Jun 04, 2019
Built great loads with these for my surplus Mausers. Bullets were very consistent in weights with as little weight variations as match bullets.

PPU 8mm 198 gr

By Nicholas S. on May 23, 2019

Listed as 198, weigh 200gr

By Vareck W. on Mar 13, 2019
Just an FYI, prob doesn’t make much difference, but these are 200 grain bullets even though they are listed as 198. Good quality and are +/-0.1 gr.

By Kent S. on Jan 02, 2019
Loaded these for an M48 and a K98. Shot very well in both.

Prvi bullets

By Chris M. on Dec 28, 2018
200 FMJ very consistent weight. Used Prvi once-fired brass. Near MOA at 100 yards with iron sights on a Yugo M48. Am sure with a scope, would group sub-MOA.

8mm Yugo Mauser

By William S. on Dec 28, 2018
Reloaded these for an 8mm Yugo Mauser and an Egyptian Hakim. My old eyes kept a decant group at 100 yards with open sights. Good plinking round.

Solid Round

By Stuart B. on Nov 13, 2018
I really enjoy reloading the bullets the quality is high and consistent and the price can't be surpassed. Thanks for carrying the PRvi Brand.

8mm .323 Bullets

By Richard A. on Aug 27, 2018
Great little gems. The bullet weights were very consistent. I use them in my German 98K Mauser with H380 powder and find the accuracy surpasses the milsurp ammo that I have. I had no problem with the seating groove on the bullet. It seems well-placed as opposed to Hornady's cannelures.

8mm fun

By Perry H. on Aug 23, 2018
These run great in my mg42 and 34. They also work great in the old k98

SEATING OF BULLET

By Henry B. on Apr 13, 2018
No cannelure on bullets just a fine line etched in metal unlike Hornadys. I had to buy a Corbin cannelure tool on line to form cannelures so the bullet would seat to casing ..But still a nice bullet.

Privi 200 grain FMJ bullet

By Robert J. S. on Jun 01, 2013
Outstanding accuracy out too 1,000 yards so far. Sub-MOA is easy to achieve. Bullet weights do not vary more than 1.0 grain in the batch I received.
