Rockchucker Supreme

By James R. on Dec 12, 2023
When I bought this press, I thought I was upgrading from my old Rockchucker. WRONG! The stroke is overly long and the mechanical advantage is only marginally better than the old RC.
The primer catching system is really lousy. Spent primers all over the floor. I can't believe RCBS came out with such a cumbersome system. I only use this press for sizing and bullet seating, preferring my old Rockchucker for other stages of reloading.
Don't buy this press. The LEE Clasic Cast press would be a better buy for most reloaders.

Precision Sizing (priming not so good)

By BRUCE B. on Jan 17, 2023
After watching videos of the accuracy of this press I decided to buy one from Graf's. I was using the Lee Challenger breech- lock and struggled with finding the bottom of the press stroke; no big deal for some loads but when you're shooting at long distances little things can make a difference, I like the cam-over ending of the stroke because it's the same --every time, and I like screwing the die in directly to the press with out the extra play in the breach-lock bushings. The priming system is not good on the Rock Chucker Supreme. The first couple of batches did not seat deep enough. I revert back to using the Lee Challenger for priming. I've only done a few sessions on de-priming with the Rock Chucker and I had to adjust the recapping die higher up into the press to stop the primers from ending up on the floor; seems to work so far but I can see that this could be a problem.
But I really bought it because of the accuracy of the sizing process and that is second to none,

Quality RCBS Product - Primer System Could Be Better

By John W. on Aug 26, 2020
I bought this to be able to accommodate the larger size dies. It is very solid. But the spent primer system is hit or miss - would think RCBS would have devised a more reliable spent primer capture system. I'm experimenting with some 3D printed designs to improve upon the design of the stock primer catcher. My Hornady LNL spent primer system is much better. But if you need to load very large cartridges, the Rock Chucker is hard to beat.
