Works well but does require brushing in my opinion. But to me, helps loosen and makes removal easier.

This products works, really well, but requires patience. Even though it is billed as brushless, I get the best results by using a brush after it has dried out. If your gun is heavily leaded it may require several applications, but it will get it done.

My father has a Colt detective .38 special which he bought when I was born back in 1969. My father pulled it out not long ago, being we usually take our 44mags to the range, so the Colt got tucked away, and I noticed there was massive leading in the barrel. My father is a great shot but isn't what you call the best at cleaning his guns. I called Grafs and spoke with one of the techs, which he highly recommended this along with wipe out and accelerator.

When it arrived I was pretty skeptic about using it, there was no harsh chemical smells or anything, didn't seem strong... But figured may as well give it a try according to the directions... After soaking some patches heavily and running through the barrel I let it sit for the recommended time.

To my shock, the barrel was lead free. I honestly couldnt believe my eyes, in which I cleaned, used the accelerator then wipe out which worked like a champ as well, but those are for another review.

But this lead remover by Sharp-Shoot-R does a fantastic job, and no hard chemical smells at all.

Thanks to the tech at Grafs I spoke with, he literally saved my fathers Colt. I wont hesitate to use this on my dads or my .44mags as I cast, if any leading occurs.

Also, used Butches triple twill patches "another review" for this which I bought at Grafs as well. Made for a very good experience. I know my father is going to want to take it out shooting again soon. But looks like I got a new job, cleaning dads guns for him, but he's my best friend and dont mind.
