Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

New 204 Ruger, Winchester brand brass

By Bob B. on Oct 29, 2020
Ordered 2, 100 case packages of new 204 Ruger brass. Reloaded 40g Hornady Vmax without any issues. One package had one (1) case with a ruined neck, so I yielded 199 loaded rounds as there were no "extras" in either package. Have not shot any of the rounds yet. Brass looked and reloaded great. 1 ruined case neck with no extras caused me to knock it down from 5 to 4 stars.

Mixed Bag

By Scott D. on Jul 17, 2020
This order of 10 bags of brass had one that had a .264 Winchester Magnum case (instead of a .204), two other bags has cases with torn necks that proved unusable. The brass needs to be neck sized to remove the dents and round out the case mouth before loading. Otherwise the brass is of acceptable quality and a best buy compared to the prices of the competitors brass.

I've used Winchester brass for years.

I tried different brass over the years and for the price Winchester is hard to beat. Other brands will wear out after a few reloads and split at the mouth sometimes on the first time. They are not without fault but for the price, they're fine. My only beef is the flash holes usually need to be cleaned up i.e. a flash hole tool is needed to trim the extra brass around the flash holes and true them up. For the 20 caliber you need a special tool for that, K&M makes a good one but it's almost as much as a bag of this brass! Other than that, this is great brass for the price.
