Product Information

Redding dies are made of the finest alloy steels obtainable and machined on Hardinge Super- Precision lathes capable of holding the tightest tolerances in the industry.    To maintain tolerances and guarantee that your dies will last a lifetime, all Redding dies are heat treated in atmospherically controlled furnaces.  Finally, your dies are hand polished for smooth, flawless functioning, go through final inspection, and are ultrasonically cleaned and packaged.  The die box is a handy cartridge loading block and storage package. Inside is a spare decapping pin, hex wrench, and even a place for your shellholder (sold separately).  All Redding dies use the industry standard 7/8-14 threaded bodies.  Die sets for straight wall cases contain three dies:  a full length resizing die, an expander die with neck expanding plug, and seating die with built in crimp ring and the proper seating plug.  Die sets for bottleneck cases contain two dies:  a full length resizing die and seating die with built in crimp ring.

458 SOCOM Redding Dies

By Dave G. on Dec 18, 2023
I purchased this 2 die set and went to use them yesterday. With a lubed once fired case it was extremely to hard to try to pull case through complete cycle. I had to stop, so I would not ruin case because they are like gold to purchase. I tried several other cases with no luck. I got my other Lyman die set out and tried and they all went through with normal resistance. I might have a bad set of dies from factory. I dont know but will try to call And find out what to do.

Redding, RCBS, and Hornady are my fav dies

By Lawrence G. on Nov 29, 2023
RCBS is my go to brand but did not have 458 so Redding was my next choice as they are right up there with RCBS. Hornday is solid but my third choice even though I use a Hornady loader.
