Product Information

Missouri Bullet Company bullets are “Hardness-Optimized” for your intended application. Every box of bullets displays the BHN (Brinell Hardness Number), which is constantly sampled and monitored. Specially created alloys determine the bullet hardness which varies based on the intended caliber and application. Once you try bullets optimized for the velocity of the loads you shoot, you'll never buy another manufacturer's cast bullet! This is not loaded ammunition.

Great Bullet

By Fredrick W H. on Nov 28, 2023
I use this bullet for my Magnum Research BFR 45/70 revolver with either IMR 3031 or Trail Boss powder and a LR primer. These are very nice shooting bullets and are very accurate for being shot in a big revolver. I would Highly recommend these to any BFR owner looking for less recoil these are like a heavy 44 magnum.

Great and versitile

I use the other 405 grain usually but wanted to try these. at 50 yards i get 1 inch groups in my marlin and 2" groups with my worn out 1880 trapdoor 1873. Great stuff. probably going back to the 405's go big or go home!

Have been using in my 45-70 trapdoor for sighting in. Shoots consistent patterns out to 100 yards.

Great bullet

Have shot hundreds of these through my Marlin 45-70. My main “plinking” bullet. Very consistent shooter. Pushing it around 1600fps with no issues. Love Missouri bullets. Good quality and good price.

Missouri Bullet 300 grain in 45/70

By Dale R. on Feb 08, 2019
Have read that this weight of bullet is not accurate past 100 yards. I figure those that don't shoot that distance made that remark. It shoots fine at 200 yards out of a Marlin Lever Action with the proper load. I would not take that shot on game at that range but for targets it works. I like the round. Practice with it and work up some good load data for it and have fun.
