Product Information

Berry's Preferred Plated bullets begin as a swaged lead core. The swaged lead cores are tumbled in an electrically charged bath containing high-grade copper ingots. The copper clings to the lead and the longer the bullets remain in the bath, the thicker the plating.  The bullets are plated to the correct size and then taken out of the bath. Plated bullets are not as expensive as jacketed bullets.  They are cleaner than lead but you'll want to stay away from magnum velocities when loading plated bullets.  This is not loaded ammunition.

Excellent product.

By Wayne S. on Nov 17, 2023
Out of a box of 1000, five bullets were selected for examination. Three measured .3570” one .3571” and one .3568” Quite impressive. The average weight of the five specimens was 147.9 gr. Again, quite impressive. These values reflect excellent production and quality control. The hardness of the lead is BHN 14 which is a normal value for this type of bullet.
The bullet doesn’t have a crimping groove; however, a slight roll crimp can be applied. I load these bullets for my Smith & Wesson model 19 as 38 Special. The powder charge is x.x gr. Alliant Bullseye. The accuracy of these bullets is quite good.

Repeat Order

This is my 2nd box of Berry's wad-cutters. I shoot these in a couple of Ruger 357's, one with a 3 inch and a the other with a 4 inch barrel. I use Bullseye powder for a 38 special load that is a nice soft load that is accurate and with a heavy magnum gun, not much recoil. I shoot usually around 200 at a time at my back yard range. Great bullets with a great price. I will buy another box after I shoot up this 1000, shouldn't take very long.. I shot wad-cutters back in the 70's for qualifying with the 38 special while in the USAF, still shooting them 45 years later.

Berry’s Bullet Fan

By Richard A. on Apr 17, 2020
I have been a long time fan of Berry’s 125gr. HP bullets and decided to give these wadcutters a try. Nice for practice loads in my .357 magnum. Will let you know how they work after I develop a load.

Great Product and Source!!

This is the first time I purchased wadcutters. I have usually reloaded Hornady 125g XTPs with great success and recently began shooting commercial Winchester wadcutters in my J-frame. Liked wadcutters a lot and decided to begin using Berry's for reloading over lead only slugs. I'm not disappointed. Graf's had the best prices, availability and GREAT service and shipping. Reloading has gone very well with easy and accurate cartridges. As soon as my range reopens, I'm anxious to make holes in targets. Thanks Graf's for your products and outstanding service!

Great Bullets...

I seat these bullets out half way in my 38 Special. Without a cannelure, I use my 38 Special Taper Crimp Die to hold in place. Very accurate and work equally as well on small game.

Wadcutters rock!

By Robert M. on Sep 25, 2018
Berrys wadcutters are my favorite 357 projectiles. I also use them for defensive loads. That way I can practice with my carry load. They are the most easy to load bullet ever. Graf had the best deal I could find and they shipped fast.
