Have used for many years mostly inside 100yds in Winchesters, Marlins, Savage, and H&Rs. Accurate and reliable terminal performance.

.303 Savage

I’ve been loading for my grandpa‘s 303 Savage for years. I’ve tried other bullets, but these are the most accurate with my loads. Won’t shoot anything else.

Great with CFE223 and 30-30

By Jeff S. on Sep 17, 2019
I'm getting around 2100 fps out of my Winchester 30-30 and I'm not loading to max pressures. That makes my gun a 200 yard rifle with an inch group at 100 yards. I'm very happy. Now to take it hunting ;)

An excellent skinny nose 30-30Win bullet. Like’m for effective 308Win, 300Sav or 30-40Krag light hunting loads. Fits 300BLK and feeds well.

Just great all away around. Can't be beat in any 30-30 application. Using LVR with this bullet is outstanding.

Speer 170gr. Flat nose Bullets

By Robert W. on Mar 30, 2019
The Speer bullet has a ballistic coefficient of 0.298 and the Hornady 170gr. flat nose has a ballistic coefficient of 0.189. This means that at 200 yards the Speer bullet is going about 200 feet per second faster than the Hornady bullet given the same start velocity. This ballistic edge coupled with the Speer Hot-Cor construction and the price differential make shooting the Speer bullet the obvious choice for me. I have also tried the Sierra 170gr. flat nose at a 0.248 ballistic coefficient but they are not as economical as the Speer is. I started using Speer bullets in 1978 and their products never disappoint. Shooting and loading .30-30's is just a whole lot of fun.

Accuracy report: Speer 170 grain flat point, .308”

My Marlin 336A (1976 vintage with micro-groove rifling), shoots 5 shots into near 1” (.90- 1 1/4”) at 100 yards with xx.x grains Win 748 powder ( and flash hole uniformed, weight-sorted brass).

Speer 308 FNSP #2041 Review

By Thomas B. on Aug 02, 2018
I know, I know, I know.......who reloads 30-30 ammo? I do and often. And the best shooting bullet for my Marlin 336 and my Winchester Model 94 are these Speer 170 GR bullets. They are consistently repeatable and the quality is reliable and good. What is most frustrating is that they seem to be scarce. So when Grafs had them in stock I ordered them. I will continue to do so as long as they are available. Thank Grafs and Speer.
