Great for load development

I like my Redding dies, but like most other brands, there are no index points for adjustment. During development I usually end up putting a mark somewhere on the seating stem to at least know how much I am moving things. This seater ( VLD #7) installed with no problem and the graduations are accurate and repeatable. It feels as though there is an internal o-ring providing friction to the adjustments so there is no need to lock anything down to maintain your chosen seating depth. I am running some of the latest, super pointy, long range 6mm bullets and I saw no marks at all from seating.
Redding Dies are my go to Dies

I like the fact that if they do not make a competition bullet seater, I can get a REDDING MICROMETER SEAT PLUG to get as close to a comp seater as possible. These dies are for a Contender G1 7-30 waters 14” pistol barrel which means I need to neck size the brass. The beauty of these REDDING MICROMETER SEAT PLUG #7 is they will work for other 7mm cartridges that use a #7 plug.
Redding Dies are my go-to dies whether the reloads are for my Benchrest Competition, my F-Class Competition or general hunting reloading. I have found them consistent and accurate.
Good alternate to competition dies

I normally buy the competition dies but had a set of regular dies given to me. This offers a viable solution to the considerably more expensive competition seater die. Seems to be plenty accurate.
