Product Information

Hornady's traditional line of bullets feature exposed lead tips for controlled expansion and hard-hitting terminal performance. Most have their pioneering secant ogive design — one of the most ballistically efficient profiles ever developed. Most feature Hornady's exclusive InterLock® design — a raised ring inside the jacket that is embedded in the bullet's core that keeps the core and jacket locked together during expansion to retain mass and energy.

  • INNER GROOVES:  Strategically weaken the upper section of the jacket, ensuring consistent, controlled expansion, even at long range.
  • TAPERED JACKET:  Jacket thickness is precisely controlled for expansion at all velocities.
  • ONE-PIECE CORE:  Does not separate like two-piece divided cores. The InterLock® retains more mass and energy for deep penetration and large, consistent wound channels that ensure quick, clean kills.
  • CANNELURE:  Provides accurate and consistent crimping and also works with InterLock® ring to ensure the core and jacket remain locked during expansion.
  • INTERLOCK® RING:  The raised InterLock® ring is embedded in the bullet's core, ensuring the core and jacket are locked in one piece during expansion to retain mass and energy.

This is not loaded ammunition.

7 mm 175 gn Hornady Interlock Sp

By David W. on Feb 16, 2024
These are great bullets. Very consistant weight and very accurate. I am loading these for 7 mm rem mag. I want something that will penetrate and not blow up on big game. These are it! I may try them in 7-08 and 7 mauser.

GREAT choice for older military surplus 7x57 rifles

By John A. on Aug 11, 2022
A couple of years ago I bought an old Brazilian Model 1908 Mauser rifle, made by DWM in Germany, and sporterized by some Bubba, including Bishop stock, open sights, and a receiver drilled and tapped for scope mounts. I tried 145 grain bullets was getting 6" plus groups at 100 yds. I was thinking of getting rid of the rifle, but then I read that many older milsurp rifles have 1 :8 1/2 rate of twist, as well as a deep throat, and that decent accuracy is only obtainable with heavier bullets. Sure enough, these heavier bullets now print 1.5" - 2" groups, plenty good enough for a beater rifle. Hornady bullets in other calibers have always performed well for me both on the range and in the field. I will buy more of these when they are back in stock.

Hornady makes great bullets

I shoot the Interlock bullets across a wide variety of calibers and they provide consistent accuracy and deadly performance on game. I shoot these out of my 7x65R drilling and they put deer down with authority. I get great expansion even with a relatively mild muzzle velocity of 2450 fps.
Just the thing for the brush country in MN.
Graf's did a great job getting them to me in the midst of yet another run on reloading supplies. Many thanks!

Hornady 175 gr. 7mm

Useful with 7mm Mausers in lieu of the old #2855 which Hornady has evidently discontinued, and which was better.

I am testing in my custom built 7mm rem mag

By Gary P. on Nov 26, 2018
So far so good. I have not used on any game yet so I can't give it a five star rating yet. I push them at 2935 out of a 26" barrel with reloader #25 powder. I have been getting 3" groups at 300yds so far. It will bust a 16oz water bottle every time at 300yds. I believe it will preform well. Thanks Graf &Sons
