Use these in my .30 Carbine barrel. More accurate than the round nose.

Yes, these are quality bullets. Use them in M1 Garand in 30-06. Excellent results for 200 yard matches. Great accuracy, low recoil. Awesome little plinking and practice bullet too. Will be loading some for .308 now that I've had a chance to restock a few.

Not for the M1 Carbine

These are quality bullets, no argument. However I ordered these to use in my M1 Carbine. On loading a few rounds, I discovered that the carbine will not feed pointed bullets(without extensive modification I guess). That is why only round nose bullets have been offered for the carbine. Unfortunately the soft nose hunting bullets are quite scarce now.

Hornady 110gr sp bullets

I use these in a 308 with an AR10 platform. We have a 100 steel plate course set up in a raven. These bullets are not expensive and we use them on the steel plates with excellent results.
