Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Introducing the first production of bottleneck (rifle) brass from Starline!

The venerable .308 Winchester has made quite a name for itself since it was first introduced in 1952. The .308 and its military equivalent, the 7.62x51mm Nato, is a very efficient cartridge that has excellent ballistics, while still being fairly easy on the shoulder. That, and its inherent accuracy have kept it thriving as both a competition and hunting caliber. Our .308 case is slightly thicker than most other brands towards the base, giving it slightly less case capacity. This feature will allow the reloader to reduce their load slightly and still achieve the same velocity as other brands.

This Starline Brass is bagged at Graf & Sons. This is not loaded ammunition.

Starline .308 Brass

By Michael D. on Jan 16, 2024
I have used Starline pistol brass for years , Love it . My go to rifle brass has been Peterson for a while now . Very good quality , But hard to get lately . Because of Starline's stellar reputation and very competitive pricing I am trying them out. I have not loaded any yet but I am VERY impressed with what I see. I will certainly be buying more Starline rifle brass.

I trust Starline brass and so do alot my friends at the range.

Nice brass

By Charles A. on Dec 12, 2023
Starline has been my go-to brass for all my centerfire revolver and auto pistol calibers for many years, also .45-70 and .32-20. This (.308) is the first time I have used their rimless bottleneck rifle brass. I have been very pleased. One thing to watch out for is case capacity. xx.x grains of Accurate 2495 fills it above the shoulder and into the neck, giving velocities with 165 grain TGK's that are consistent with maximum load data for that powder and that bullet weight. This is not a bad thing, somewhat economical in fact, just something to watch out for. I would strongly recommend, when working up a load with this brass, to adhere to the "start 10% below max loads" rule.

Close to MILSPEC

By George S. on Nov 13, 2023
Starline claims their 308 brass is thicker than most, so I weighed one, at 177.4 gr it was heavier than two other commercial cases that I checked. It was only one grain lighter than a Lake City case, so close to milspec, maybe within the margin of error. Not a scientific test by any means, but does substantiate their claim. Exceptional quality and good value as well.

Starline Brass 308 Winchester Unprimed Bag of 100

By Aaron H. on Oct 19, 2023
I've found Starline Brass to be very consistent and high quality as well as very price competitive for my cartridge reloading and highly recommend it. Although this is new unprimed brass, my advice is to make sure you have adequate neck tension for bullet seating that may require neck-sizing prior to loading.

Starline 308 Winchester Brass

Good, consistent brass. As good as the more expensive brass, and far above the lower priced brass. And Graf's is my favorite place to buy brass for their excellent service and fast shipping.

excellent price . i am very happy with this quality brass at a very good price . i will be buying more of this brass very soon .

great brass at a great price

By David N. on Jul 07, 2023
I can only speak for these cases I got here at Graf's, but this is really good stuff at a very good price. Look around online and see reviews that compare this as equal or better to more expensive (and commonly regarded) 'premium' brass. I don't think one can find this at a better price, or with better service, anywhere.

Great service

Good quality 308 Winchester brass.

By Jon G. on May 31, 2023
This is not the first time I have used Starline brass. I have used Starline brass with 6.5 Grendel and 6.5 Creedmoor in the past with excellent results. I'm just starting with Starline brass on the 308 Winchester loads. Same quality product as my other experiences.

High quality - low price

By Howard C. on Jul 11, 2022
I used to swear by Winchester brass, however the last batch of .308 cases were terrible. So out of spec you could not get them in a shell-holder. Case heads were not fully formed.
I decided to try some Starline brass and WOW was I impressed. The first thing I did was full-length size them just to insure uniformity. Then I loaded them up to fire form them. To do this I used a metered charge of xx grains of H4895. For half the cartridges I loaded 175 gr Sierra MK's and the other half I loaded with 165 gr BULK Remington Core-Loct bullets. Accuracy was not a big concern because it was just to fire-form the cases, Also, my rifle was zeroed in with an entirely different bullet (Sierra 180 gr GameKings), yet these shot sub MOA to the same zero!
I was gobsmacked. Usually, it's a lot harder to get that Kind of performance. Definitely will be using more Starline brass in the future.

GREAT BRASS, BUT

By MR. LYNNE D. B. on Apr 10, 2022
THE QUALITY OF THIS BRASS IS GREAT, BUT, MAKE SURE THAT YOU FOLLOW ALL OF THE PROPER RELOADING PROTOCOL ---- DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS BRASS OFTEN NEEDS RESIZED, TRIMMED, ETC., ETC..

BUT, LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE, THEY ARE A LITTLE
" PRICEY ".

Just received my 100 ct bag of .308 Starline brass & it is exactly what I ordered. Great value for a premium product. While I have not used the brass yet, I have to say that I am very impressed with the service and shipping response I received from Graf & Sons. I will definitely order from them again! Thanks!!

Excellent brass for .308

By Scott T. on Jun 16, 2020
I recently began shooting ELR and thought I would give Starline a shot before going with the herd on Lapua. Loaded 25 rounds for my Rem 700 and shot two groups, one 10, the 15 at 100 yards. Both were sub MOA, the first .467, and the second .549. I have yet to see another brass that could produce this level of consistency out of the "box" with such minimal prep (deburring and neck sizing). And it's American made. :)

Good .308 Winchester Brass

By Loren W. on Jan 23, 2019
I have used Starline pistol brass for loading for quite a while and have never had any quality issues. Now that they offer bottleneck rifle brass I have tried some .30-06 and now .308 Winchester cases and find the same great quality. I highly recommend Starline brass for all loading applications.
