Product Information

Created with the field shooter in mind. The lightweight, patented foam recoil system is designed for quick and easy gun mounting in the field, and provides valuable protection from recoil. It is ambidextrous and attaches with an easily adjustable Velcro® closure for a secure fit. Front and back leather faces secures the gun comfortably in place, eliminating any sliding. The shield's 1/4" thick energy-absorbing pad provides excellent protection for all shotguns. Weighs 4 ounces.

I have a PAST magnum shoulder shield that I've used for decades. Since I have shoulder pain and a torn rotator cuff, I ordered this for every-day shooting and hunting. I tried it with my shotgun and had almost no pain with the recoil.

I intend to use it while hunting this season and it should keep me from having a painful shoulder afterwards.

Finally got around to buying one and gave it a try, reduces the felt recoil on my 338-06 with 250 gr. loads to the level of a .243 and a snap to use! Very pleased.

Perfect for the wife

After trying my PAST Magnum Plus Recoil Shield (product code BF310010) my wife found it too bulky for her satisfaction. The PAST Standard Recoil Shield solved the problem of bulk while still giving her the recoil protection needed when firing her 270 Winchester at the range. As a matter of fact she has found this recoil pad so comfortable that she uses it with every one of her rifles above the caliber 223 and when shooting her shotgun. To my mind this is really simple, if she is happy and at ease when shooting we spend more time at the range enjoying, not only each others company, but the sport we both love. It is a win, win situation and I couldn’t be more delighted. That makes this pad some of the best dollar I have ever spent.
