Very Pleased with Product

I like this 30-40 Krag brass so much I came back and bought more. Because I am loading for an original 1896 rifle, I use very moderate charges. Therefore, I won't make any claims regarding the strength of the brass for those who might be using a more modern rifle chambered for the caliber, such as a Ruger single-shot.

Received loose, but all looked to be in great shape. Case length consistent, loaded with no problem. Will shoot once the weather gets better.

Just like any new brass, full sizing is required. Deburred mouth and loaded. No trimming needed. Chambered fine. Decent brass with a great price.

Nice looking brass, satin finish, not shiny. OL length well within spec. Will full length resize, chamfer case mouth and load.

OAL is */-.001 and .010 under max so I did not trim. I full length resized before loading but it took minimal effort so I'm assuming they started out very close. I did deburr and chamfer the case mouths but they were pretty clean to start with. The primer pockets felt very consistent and all the primers seated at .005 below. Overall great value for the cost.
Good well made brass

I have not loaded this brass as of yet, but I will say that it is good looking brass and should make fine rounds.

Bought 100 cases for my 98, quick shipping. The brass looked fine but I resized and trimmed the cases. I do this with all new brass. Most cases needed very little trimming. Loaded up several with cast bullets. All cases chambered and ejected, no problems. The cases looked good after firing good seal.
Will purchase more later

The brass looks good. Just prepped 100. OL was good and will not need to trim. Case mouths look concentric but have not measured thickness. Cannot tell if cases were annealed due to polishing.
Case rims are like the .303 not the .30-40 but will work OK. Case size is over the Maximum. CHECK THE SIZE IN YOUR GUN. In my ’98 there is a very slight effort on chambering, leaving a slight bright ring on the shoulder near where the Datum line would be. No problem for me since I neck size and treat the case as a rimed case that headspaces on the shoulder. VERY BIG PROBLEM in my ’96 sporter. Had to beat the handle down with my hand to close. Will run all cases through a Full length sizer to catch any grossly oversize case. After that the problem will be gone.
If the bank account lets me I will by 200 more and put aside for later.
