Do not use Barnes 45 Colt 200 GR XPB HP VOR-TX Ammunition with lot codes C178-2, C178-3, C178-4, C178-6

Barnes has determined that the above referenced ammunition lot code may not function properly in some firearms, up to and including the lodging of a bullet in the barrel. Firing a subsequent bullet into the bore obstruction could cause firearm damage, rendering the firearm inoperable and subjecting the shooter and bystanders to a risk of serious personal injury.

To determine if you have the lot code subject to this notice, check the Lot Code stamped on the inside flap of the box. Other codes are not subject to this recall.

If you have any of the identified ammunition, immediately discontinue use. Contact Barnes Bullets Consumer Services directly at the telephone number listed below. Do not contact your dealer. Barnes will arrange for the return shipment of your ammunition and upon receipt will send you replacement ammunition at no cost to you. Please do not ship product to Barnes without first attaining a return authorization from a Barnes representative.
