Product Information

Our Cowboy dies are built to slightly different dimensions than our regular dies to allow optimum sizing, expanding, seating and crimping needed to load great lead bullet ammo. In keeping with the spirit of the game, Cowboy dies even look different. Instead of the satin steel finish on the other RCBS dies, Cowboy dies have a "case-hardened" look. Handsome brass lock rings complete the picture, and even the packaging reflects the Cowboy theme.

 45-70 Cowboy Dies

Great looking dies, makes you think your back in the late 1800’s while reloading. I’ve used them twice so far and found that they work great seating Lee’s 405 grain round nose flat points. I also seated Lee’s 500 grain pointed bullets. The seater didn’t deform the point as much as I had feared, almost none at all. My cast bullets where almost straight Linotype so this may have helped keeping the points pointy. The dies add a little fun while reloading.
