HORNADY 6MM (.243) 105gr BTHP BULLET MATCH 100/BX
A new era in match bullet technology has arrived. All Hornady Match bullets now feature revolutionary new AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Process) bullet jackets. Developed by Hornady technicians, these new bullet jackets are a technological advancement in design, tooling and manufacturing that combine to produce the most consistently concentric bullet jackets available. These new AMP jackets are the foundation for incomparable bullet accuracy and feature near zero wall thickness variation to provide exceptional uniformity throughout the jacket. Coupled with precision swaged cores and manufactured to the tightest standards in the industry, all Hornady Match bullets provide superior consistency, high ballistic coefficients and unprecedented levels of accuracy. This is not loaded ammunition.

There are more precise bullets out there but be prepared to pay $10 - $16 more per 100 for them. For years I shot the 105 grain Amax and was very happy with it. The 105 Grain Amax gave better expansion on rockchucks than the 105 HPBT. Accuracy was about the same, possibly a tiny bit better with the Amax. The Amax was reasonably priced and held some 600 yd. bench rest record - so sorry to see it go!. The new 105 6mm HPBT is a fine bullet - I shoot the 105 HPBT's at steel from my 8 twist .243W & 6mm Rem and shoot the 87 VMax at rodents. I plan to check out the new Sierra 90 & 100 grain 6mm Game Changer (Game King) bullets.
So far..so good.

I'm a big fan of Hornady products and these bullets are no exception. That being said, I hate when a manufacturer stops production on an excellent bullet and replaces it with a similar version. I had a great load worked up for their 105gr A-Max bullet but that bullet is no longer made so I'm starting over. So far this bullet has produced good results just not as good as the A-Max, yet. But I'm sure, with a little more work, I'll get them where they need to be.
