Product Information

The Hornady® SST® (Super Shock Tip) is designed to deliver tremendous shock on impact while expanding quickly and reliably, particularly at higher velocities.

Flat shooting and deadly accurate, it's an ideal bullet for whitetails, as well as most North American game animals from antelope to moose and similar-sized African plains game. The SST® creates a devastatingly large wound channel.

  • POLYMER TIP: Upon impact, the hard polymer tip drives into the lead core like a wedge, initiating lightning-fast, yet controlled expansion.
  • SECANT OGIVE, BOATTAIL PROFILE: Incorporating the pioneering Hornady secant ogive design, the tapered point, increased bearing surface and more aerodynamic profile, combined with a boattail base, makes the SST® more efficient with less drag and greater stability.
  • CANNELURE: A mid-body cannelure helps keep the core and jacket together while providing a consistent, accurate crimp during the loading process.
  • INTERLOCK® RING: This Hornady exclusive design mechanically locks the core and jacket together to maintain bullet integrity during expansion, ensuring maximum weight retention and increasing the chances of complete pass-throughs.

  • Ballistic Coefficient: .410

Hard to find .312 150 grain bullets for the svt 40 work great Grafs the only place that carry them . Thanks grafs great service great product the only place I buy my reloading supplies.

I slugged the bore at .3105, so these bullets work perfectly. I'm very pleased!

This is my first order from Graf's. Everything came as promised and promptly. I'm looking forward to working up some test loads for a purpose-built M39 sporter for this weekend. Can't wait to get out to the range. The reviews for this bullet look awesome!!! I'll be placing another order soon...wondering if this bullet weight is appropriate for elk, moose, mule deer, and caribou.

Thank goodness they decided to make an SST in a .312. I actually love hunting with my Milsurps and this bullet covers a good deal of my rifles. Now Im not stuck with just using soft points with them.

This bullet serves me EXTREMELY well in both .303 British and 7.7 Japanese. I have spoken to a customer service rep with Hornady, and learned that this bullet was a special order production run specificly for Grafs. If that is true, then Grafs is the only source for this bullet. That being said, Graf PLEASE renew your contract with Hornady!!!!!! This bullet performs better than any .312 bullet I have tried.

This is the best bullet - excellent performance from this firearm in both in-flight and terminal ballistics. I don't understand why this one is unavailable where there is a robust line of SST bullet offerings, and we're left with the Interlok SP bullets.

Please bring back the SST in .312 in both 150 gn and 174 gn.

Excellent quality bullet, unfortunately its on the temp suspend list. Why? who knows seems to be enough of us who want to buy it.
