Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Product Information

This is BLANK BRASS.

Starline strives to hold the closest production tolerances possible on every caliber we produce to ensure the highest quality brass available. All brass is produced within SAAMI specifications and includes special heat treat processes and designs to enhance strength and longevity.  Accepts boxer primers. DO NOT LOAD BULLET PROJECTILES into THIS BRASS. For BLANK Ammunition ONLY.

This Starline Brass is bagged at Graf & Sons. This is not loaded ammunition.

Note: This brass is used for the making of blanks. Not for use in reloading Live Ammunition.

Blank Ammunition:

Blank ammo is used for many things, the most obvious being movies. Or mock gunfights for entertainment. An advantage of blanks is you can fire a gun into the air without worrying about falling bullets. Blanks can also be used for some training purposes (such as training bird dogs, etc.). Blank ammo can be fun as long as it is used safely. Just remember they are not toys.

45 ACP?

By James S. on Dec 02, 2020
Maybe the 45 ACP designation shouldn't be used. This brass is for blank loads for starting pistols. The picture is accurate. I bought these by mistake thinking they were standard 45 ACP rounds and the picture was wrong. I even called before I bought but the call didn't clear that up. So I'm posting this so others don't make the same mistake that I did. Thank you, Graf & Sons for taking them back!

Unintended usage

By Jacob F. on Aug 11, 2020
I use these for forming shot cartridges. I use ~300gr of #4-#6 shot, over a semi-light charge, with a fiber wad from Dixie gun works for over powder, and a punched out piece of cardstock for my over shot card. Then I put a light taper crimp at the end to hold it all together. After some trial and error, you can find a very effective load.

Already formed and ready

By Vincent G. on Apr 17, 2019
These cases are already "bottlenecked" so that they'll chamber, and even have a very slight flare at the mouth from the factory. It saves a lot of time and mess compared to forming your own. Not to mention the proper headstamp, and expanded flash hole.
