I'm very pleased with this bullet in a 6.5mm grendel. 1/2 inch 5-shpot group at 100' with 18" barrel AR platform.

Manny years ago - late 60's thru early 80's, i shot the 139 gr. 7mm version of this bullet. when i got back into shooting and hunting in 2018 I went with the 6.5 Creedmoor in a Bergara HMR. My first bullet I reloaded with was the Hornady 6.5mm (.264) 129gr. sp bullet. I have shot several whitetail bucks from 75 to 250 yards, all 1 shot kills. After shooting more than 800 rounds over the same fields I hunt over (out to 300 yds) may sub-MOA groups if I do my part.
This is a great bullet that does not break the bank and groups very well for me. Clayton H. OCT. 11,2022
Good Bullet for Target and Hunting

Have been working on handloads for my 6.5 Grendel and 6.5 Creedmoor. Plan to hunt with them and want an accurate load at the highest velocity that I can get. Have been shooting match grade bullets along with this bullet and I have been impressed that I have had better groups with the Spire Point bullet than some of the match grade loads. I use this type of bullet in 308/150 grain and have been impressed with them deer hunting. It looks like this bullet will be just as good.

I have been using this bullet for nearly 30 years reloading for my Norwegian Krag-Jorgensen. It always gave better groups than any other bullet. Shoots great in my 6.5 Arisaka carbine also.

I use this bullet in all my 6.5 loads except long distance. Great bullet at great price.

Fantastic design for deer. It opens and mushrooms perfectly upon impact.
But how is the accuracy? Folks, I shoot this bullet in a number of hunting rifles, and with the proper load, this bullet has no problem going sub-MOA and sub-1/2 MOA. I have no problem hitting gongs at 700 yards in the wind. Bottom line is that Hornady got this one right.
