HORNADY 6.5MM (.264) 140gr BULLET ELD MATCH 100/BX
ELD Match bullets are technologically advanced, enhanced accuracy target bullets featuring Heat Shield tips with the PERFECT MEPLAT (tip point) combined with numerous design features that deliver the highest-in-class ballistic coefficients, superior accuracy and extreme consistency from bullet-to-bullet, lot-to-lot.
All manufacturers conventional polymer tips in high BC bullets melt in flight. Hornady® engineers discovered that conventional bullet tip materials in streamlined, high BC bullets melt and deform. Although not a significant issue affecting moderate BC conventional tipped varmint and hunting bullets, aerodynamic heating causes BC reduction and degradation of accuracy, particularly at extended ranges (400 yds +). To counter this effect, Hornady® identified a heat resistant polymer and developed the patent pending Heat Shield™ tip. This revolutionary new tip creates the perfect meplat (tip) with exceptionally consistent results from bullet-to-bullet and lot-to-lot.
Superior accuracy and industry leading ballistic design has been achieved with the ELD Match bullet. An optimum secant ogive and boattail design along with the patent-pending Heat Shield tip produce a bullet with the highest possible ballistic coefficient in its class. Verified by Doppler Radar, ELD Match ballistic coefficients do not vary due to the integrity of the Heat Shield tip. The bullets perform extraordinarily consistently with no BC degradation at extended range. This is not loaded ammo.

140gr ELD-Ms are my go to match load for PRS. I've shot these exclusively now for almost 3 years in my match rifle and there are several benefits: accuracy, consistency, and easy to load. These bullets are relatively jump intolerant, meaning the entire first 2 years I reloaded for 6.5 Creedmoor I loaded all my cartridges to 2.815" and ran with it and still printed groups that were below 1/2 MOA out of my Tikka with the factory barrel.
A few months ago, I replaced the barrel with a Rock Creek prefit from Patriot Valley Arms. For this barrel I did a 10-shot Satterlee test and set the bullets to 0.020" off the lands. After finding the flat spot, I loaded up 50 rounds in the node and proceeded to print 0.35 MOA groups fairly consistently. At matches I've taken my load out beyond 800 yards with impeccable performance.
Taking into consideration that these bullets are priced significantly cheaper than other competing brands and perform just as well if not better - I highly recommend 140 ELD M bullets.
Nothing to add...

Takes time to work up the right load for your rifle, but these take the meplat variable out of the process. So far, very impressive results.
Must have ELD-M

This eld-m is very consistent. Hits MOA sized steel from 547-1100 yards when I do my part.
There is no better precision bullet

Whether it be a Creedmoor or a Swede, (probably a JAP is if wasn't for the goofy chamber and forget about Carcanos that loose 300 ft/sec after the first shot) there is no better bullet. Period. Several shooters at my range, including myself, have purchased and traded/tried Sierra MKs, Sierra PHs, Sierra green tips, Hornady HPBT Matches, and Berger (embraced by the name branding country club finger sandwich crowd). ELDs provide the lowest MOA of all of them. Period. Go ahead...prove me wrong. And, prove the rest of the above reviewers wrong, as well.

Shooting one half MOA groups at 100 yards with these. Have shot 3 shot x 3 inch groups at 900 yards. These bullets are awesome. I am buying more! Using Tikka TAC-A1 rifle. Great combination.

This bullet is awesome. It shoots 1/2 MOA groups at 100 yards. I am able to hit metal plates at 900 and 1100 yards with these. Really like these ELD's from Hornady.

Appear to be consistent. More accurate than the A-Max in my rifle. Not as accurate as the 142gr SMK, (yet). Still working up load for this bullet.

So far this is the most accurate bullet in my 6.5 creed averaging .5 or less @ 100 yards with my savage 110 tactical using H 4350. Highly recommend.

I've been loading these in 6.5 creedmoor and I'm very happy with them. Some Hornady bullets in other calibers have been problematic for me, but these have worked well and at the price Grafs has on them right now it is a no-brainer. Get some.

'This is one of Hornady's best creations. I get wonderful results with this bullet. Most accurate I've found and I won't buy a different bullet with the results I've got with this one on the target range.
Accurate,again and again

These bullets are one of the few that perform at the highest level of accuracy. At a very reasonable cost, load development doesn't break the bank, and finding an accuracy node isn't hard to do. Sometimes finding these are difficult, but worth the inconvenience.

Began shooting 140 ELDM recently and was pleasantly surprised just how consistent and accurate these are. Pulled a sample of 20 bullets out of the box and measured from the base to the ogive and found less than 0.001" difference. These bullets are very jump tolerant and made load development a snap. I was able to find a sub-half-minute load for my rifle in under 30 rounds. I put a load together just 2 days before a match and ended up winning the match which was a PRS style match with targets out to 600 yards. I was able to ring a 1" target at 600y consistently with the load using these bullets. Very pleased with the results and will be purchasing these in bulk and trying in my other rifles as well.
