Product Information

ACME Bullet Company manufactures 45/70 405 Grain FP (Flat Point) hard cast bullets coated with Hi-Tek Coating.  After the bullets are coated they are then sized to .458 for final product.  The benefits to shooting with the Hi-Tek line are:  The bullet is completely encapsulated therefore reducing the exposure to  lead.  Less smoke as associated with traditional lubed bullets.  Can shoot higher velocities than regular cast bullets.  Safe in Polygonal rifling.

This is not loaded ammunition.

I've used these for a bit for some smokeless loads for my trapdoor with no issues. I may try some blackpowder loads, we'll see.

Inconsistent weights

By Ranceford O. on Apr 30, 2019
weighed these bullets and they varied from 399 grains to 406 grains, the majority being 403 grains.
Shooting only the 403-grainers with xx grains of Trail Boss from an 1874 45-70 Sharps I got a 3" 6-shot group at 100 yards.
