Excellent Primers

By Fredrick W H. on Apr 07, 2024
I just very recently bought 5000 of these primers ,I am very impressed with them and I have not had any issues with them plus they are the nicest looking primers I have ever seen. Like other imported primers they do seat a little harder which is a blessing in some of my old brass. I found out by reading some of the reviews that you do have to seat them deeper but it is not an issue. I have Unis Ginex primers in Large Pistol that came from Graf's also and based on there performance and these I will definitely buy again when I need primers. I load on a Lee Turret press and they work fine on there, one thing I found out with Unis Ginex primers is that they are hot enough to run with W296/H110 powder I get no unburned powder. From my experience with these I may never go back to the primers I used before they are that good.

Read before Buying

I bought 5k Lg pistol and 10k sml pistol of Genix and to date very disappointed specifically pursuant to trying to sent a primer on loader. (RL1050) I loaded 400 rounds using Genix primers (38spl) and almost all were elevated or high primer. It was not noticeable to my old eyes while loading but my colt revolver knew the difference as it would hang up or not rotate. I had to go back and reseat with a hand primer. I researched reviews and ‘hard’ difficult’ seating is a known problem. Had I been aware of this problem I could compensate. Tell me what I need to know not let me find out on my own. One thing concerns me is I tested some primers in a 45acp case with various high primers, hand set by me. Using a m1911, they did not misfire when slamming slide but 5 of 10 rounds tested took a second strike to fire. I guess my point is, when using Genix primers, verify primer seating prior to starting your run and periodically check. Additionally, I also loaded some 45 cowboy colt with a Hornady LNL press and could not get proper seating as the LNL press is a fixed primer seating assembly and you can’t adjust depth. Word to the wise. Thank you for reading

100% reliable

No issues with ignition on multiple factory striker fired Pistols, cant tell the difference from any other pistol primer. Actually Im entertained reading the complaints online, there is simply no issues with these, and glad they are still available when writing this review. They seat fine, ignite fine plenty of love here for Ginex primers.

great primers

By JIM B. on Sep 22, 2023
I have bought these from several places over the past three years, always look for best deal and buy 15-20K at a time. I load for a family of shooters ,all bringing range brass. Sometimes I hand prime some but mostly use Loadmasters for 9mm and 45acp.These require different setting from some other primers but i have NEVER had issue with light strikes or failure to fire. I use them in small primer 45 acp with tite group, HP 38, CFE pistol, tite group shooters world in 9mm . Not competition shooters, just family fun. These are the ones I prefer based on past use.

Good primers

Those who experience misfires... You are not seating them deep enough. Metric primers are slightly larger, and take more pressure to seat. Seating by feel isn't gonna cut, measure the depth and make sure they are .004 below flush. Loaded about 15k of these, 100% reliable.

Works like a charm!

I have loaded roughly 1700 rounds of 9 mm and 40 S&W with these and all have shot well with proper ignition and very clean primer pockets afterwards. I am more impressed with UNIS than Winchester WSP primers actually.

4 Misfires in 131 rounds???

By Jeff K. on Feb 26, 2023
I have been a reloader for just over 50 years. In that time, I have had exactly one misfire. Given that statistic, I had 200 years worth of misfires today. I attempted to fire the 4 rounds again in the Smith Model 60 they mis-fired in and all just went click again. loaded them all up in a Smith 686 and all just clicked one more time. Finally put them in a Smith Airweight 38 Spl and still nothing. All had what I consider solid strikes the first time around. I sincerely hope this is not a sign of things to come. I have shot tens of thousands of Wolf, Fiocchi, Sellier and Bellot, Cheddite and Noblesport import metallic and shotgun primers along with tens of thousands of CCI, Winchester, Federal and Remington metallic and shotgun primers. I have had one Wolf shotgun primer not go off. For casual plinking, a dud is not a real issue but a 3% failure rate is unacceptable.

Great stuff

Been Great for us and our loading needs

98% Reliability

By Nekoda M. on Feb 17, 2017
Took a chance on these due to their low price. I didn't keep an actual count but I estimate 1-2% of these primers failed to fire on the first strike. All fired on the second strike of the firing pin however. This is acceptable for casual plinking, might be ok for a casual competition shooter, but I would not use these for defense loads due to their lack of 100% reliability.
