I purchased these while trying out various bullets to do a load work up for my 308 large frame gas gun. Initially I found the 175gr SMK to shoot well, however I wasn't completely please with accuracy so thought I'd give the 178gr ELD-Ms a shot. My load workup used new Lake City brass, 210M primers, H4895, and a COAL of 2.805". I worked up to xxgr in .3gr increments. All the groups were sub-moa (which was a great sign), however 40.0 stacked 4 in the same hole and #5 was touching for a .47 MOA group. Since I've bought a few hundred more. This is definitely the bullet I'm going to stick with.

I switched to these 2 months ago from sierra 175 matchkings. I can seat these .005 off the lands and they still fit in my AI mags. These also have way better down range ballistics. And best of all they cost less.
