Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

7.62x51 Nato Brass

By Stephen R. on Jan 30, 2023
Use PPU Brass and it is top quality. I use PPU 7.62x51 for an M1A and FAL. Also use PPU 30-06 in in an M1 Garand and 7.5x55 in a Swiss K-31. No worries at all. Will buy again.

Outstanding Brass

By David G. on Dec 10, 2022
I have used PPU brass in many different calibers over the last few years, and it has never let me down. Always consistent, and very affordable. 7.62x51 is no exception. Use it- you won't be disappointed!

Very nice cases!

These are really nice cases. Annealing was properly done and visible. Primer pockets not real uniform, but that's OK since I uniform them before loading.

Great 7.62x51 brass

Bought this to try out and couldn't be happier with the quality or price.

Nice brass at a great price

By John M. on Feb 12, 2020
I made this purchase to check PPU's larger caliber brass having been very happy with their .223 offering. Here's what I found while preparing it for reloading. Average weight of cases were comparable to other brands offering 7.62 NATO coming in at 173.8 grains +/- 1%. Only one case out of 100 broke that average by one grain. Case lengths were a little long with more than half coming in over the max length of 2.015" by several thousandths. Primer pockets were uniform with only the radius at the bottom being removed with only a few where the bottom of the pocket was shaved shiny. Flash holes were uniform requiring only the smoothing of the hole on the inside of the case. I measured the brass thickness at the neck of ten cases, 180 degrees apart, and none differed by more than 0.001". Not bad at all!

Good brass for the money

This is all amazing brass for the money. Never have to first time re size and it reloads better than 80% of the other makers. PPU brass is great, use it you won't be sorry.

PPU 7.62x51 NATO

By Gary D. on Apr 08, 2019
Purchased 100 rds. The brass was very nice, no damaged cases, fit the Wilson head space gage perfect COL was right. I did run them all through my RCBS neck die to insure consistent bullet tension. I shot them through my Kel-Tec with no problems. If you shoot semi-auto AR style .308 this brass will work great.
