Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Works well with .264 bullet.

By Hayden P. on Jan 20, 2023
I use Hornady .164 sp rounds with this brass and it works flawlessly, You just need to size the brass first.

PRVI brass is great & reasonably priced

I use Prvi Brass for a lot of different calibers from 222 Remington to 45-70 Government and have never had a problem.

Good stuff.

PPU 6.5 is factory loaded with .264, so I buy these and just load my own from the start. They loaded .268 jacketed rounds right from the bag, with no issues. To load cast, I had to expand the mouth a touch. I haven't worn these out yet, but I do get about 5 or more loadings from PPU brass. I'd like to see them reproduce the clips for these.

6.5 Carcano Brass

Great Brass. Measured all dimensions and they were correct. I loaded them using Lee dies and shell holder. All worked out fine. Bullet seated tightly. I'm very happy with them.

Feeds Properly

By Thomas P. on Oct 24, 2022
Brass appears to be good quality. The rim dimension is correct to hold into, and feed properly from the six round en bloc clips.

These arrived promptly and loaded nicely. I used the .268 bullets and they shot great out of my Cavalry Carbine. PPU makes good components.

PPU brass is the only way to go when loading for Carcano rifles. Along with great service from Graf &Sons, it just doesn't get any better!

Carcano 6.5X52 Privi Partizan Brass

By Victor P. on Aug 01, 2022
I have loaded and reloaded this brass several times with no issues. I had LEE dies make me a .268 expander at nominal cost for their .264 die set and used the Privi .268 bullets with excellent accuracy. Barrel slugged at .268. Highly recommended.

6.5 X 52 Carcano

I looked a long time to get the correct brass for my several old Carcano rifles. Graf's is the only one to have it now. Nice brass, clearly made by a company familiar with military rifle ammunition.

Shell casings had a near perfect spec and shot very well through my Carcano. Ran 129gr bullet with light powder load.

The PRVI case rim is perfect for the cavalry extractor dimensions- Thin
The NORMA case has a larger rim thickness requiring some fussing with the fit into the extractor. Like the PRVI.

In stock, on time, top quality

Grafs wide diversity of offerings delivered again.

As new ammo is expensive or hard to find, I added 6.5x52 to my reloading line up. I knew I could find it here.

Prvi Partizan brass is always of great quality and as always, delivery was no issue.

PPU 6.5x52 Carcano Brass

By Craig A. on Oct 29, 2020
Graf&Sons is always my go to for less common/ difficult to find items. I am never disappointed. Quick shipping, fair pricing, and easy flat rate shipping. This is another example. This 6.5x52 Carcano brass is not the easiest to find, especially at a decent price. I use PPU brass in several calibers, as they are the only ones that make many of the more obscure calibers. It always performs well and I have never had any issues. Hope they keep makings the obscure calibers, because if they ever stop supply will be very difficult and very expensive to find.

This PPU Brass is perfect for reloading 6.5 x 52 Carcano.
I am using a Hornady .268 die set & the fit is perfect with
my PPU .268 bullets. The brass is clean & primer pockets are the correct width & depth.

6.5 Carcano

By Ryan T. on Aug 27, 2020
As always, Prvi is my go-to brass for European calibers. Was not disappointed. As others have stated, the rim is thin (as it is supposed to be) and the Lee #2 shell holder is a little loose. Use either an RCBS or Hornady shell holder for better results.

6.5 Carcano Sweetness

By Darrell H. on Jul 16, 2020
These cases were perfect right out of the bag.
Full length sized them and seated a 123grain projectile on them, excellent accuracy from 2 Carcano Cavalry rifles. This brass is a must if you load for these Italian beauties.

Not .268

By Kerry C. on May 09, 2020
This is good brass but, its not 0.268, all of mine was 0.264. I have all the die tools to make it 0.268 so its no big issue but required effort is a bit more to bump it up to 0.2675.

Anyway, its top quality stuff and feeds perfect and then ejects as it should, its just not 0.268 until you make it that.

Also: NO stuck cases with the Dillon Lanolin Lube. That's been my go to for years now.

4 star due to the small size issue. Otherwise its a 5 for function in my firearm after making the finished product go bang.

6.5x52 Carcano Brass

One big difference with the Prvi bass for the 6.5 Carcano is the proper sized extractor groove. This really helps both closing the bolt and extracting spent brass. Such as simple thing to get right and allow more fun shooting instead of spending range time removing a stuck case!

6.5 carcano brass

By Christopher H. on Mar 10, 2020
very good brass, I noticed some people had problems with stuck cases, it's not the brass, it's because 6.5 carcano brass has a much thinner rim than others, measure the rim thickness and you will see

6.5 x 52 Carcano Brass

By Ken S. on Feb 13, 2020
I have always had good luck with Prvi Partizan brass and these are just another example. These have the correct size extractor groove, making them feed reliably in all the rifles I have tried, so far. The rim thickness and extractor groove dimensions are virtually identical to the surplus military cartridge cases. The Norma brass, while being of excellent quality, won't feed freely, if at all, in some rifles. I have found that the rim thickness on the Norma brass is .008" to 010" thicker, thus moving the bottom of the extractor groove that much farther forward. Just enough to prevent the extractor from being able to "hook" into the groove. I will definitely be buying more!

Very good brass for reloading my 6.5 Carcano. Breathes new life into an old rifle!!

Brass seemed a little soft

By Craig S. on Nov 09, 2019
I had purchased a LEE die set, cleaned the dies and used the included shell holder. I lubed the cases with 1 shot case lube and ran the first case into the die with no problems. It seemed that the case head was a little loose in the shell holder( a #2) but tried another case. Ran up into the die fine, was extracting and the holder pulled off the case head. Stuck case!!! After finally getting the case out, the rim of the case had bent just enough to pull out. A combination of wrong shell holder, soft brass???

Worked much better than Norma brass

By Kevin L. on Nov 25, 2018
I had tried Norma brass first but had trouble with it feeding in my M-91. After checking the Hornady manual I found that they had the same problem and used this brass in the data. I would have gave it 5 stars but I still had slight feeding issues with some of this brass.

Full length sized first and still a bit large (.268") Pretty sure my die is .264" then crimped and came out very nice.
