.450 BUSHMASTER (Small Rifle primer)

The 450 Bushmaster was designed as a close range, big bore hunting caliber for the AR-15 platform.  As with most AR cartridge conversions, it only requires swapping out the upper receiver. With the introduction of some new bolt action rifles in this caliber and many states changing game laws allowing straightwall cartridges for deer hunting, the  .450 Bushmaster is enjoying a surge in popularity.  Ruger now offers their American Ranch and Gunsite Scout bolt action rifles chambered in the .450 Bushmaster caliber.  This cartridge utilizes the common .452" diameter bullet, reloaders can use bullet weights anywhere from 160-350+ grains.

Glad I found this brass, good stuff would recommend Starline brass in any caliber. As with everything reloading it is a little expensive but worth it when you want to shoot

Bought some 450 bushmaster brass, small dings here and there that came out during processing, no big deal. Spot checked about 50 percent of the brass, all within 2 thousands of specs. I plan to buy more when back in stock. Should have bought more the first time oops

Just started loading the 450 bushmaster, and ran a variety of bullet weights from 185 to 500 gr resized .458. This Starline brass has been doing a great job of handling all my experimentation.

Good brass, as always. I use it for rifle and pistol calibers. Always consistent and achieve excellent accuracy. I’ve noticed that I reach max pressure fairly quickly when ladder testing. Could be thicker brass? Could be why I get excellent brass life with SL.

Just bought a Ruger AR 450 Bushmaster and needed some ammo. Commercial ammo is pretty expensive and not readily available, so time to reload (actually just load since all components are new). Ordered the shiny new Starline brass which was packaged securely and arrived quickly in good condition. The brass appears to be of high quality and processed smoothly through my progressive reloader. Finished ammo looks great. Can't wait to try it out!
