7mm weatherby magnum 154 spire point

I own an older rifle in 7mm Weatherby mag. This rifle was built with a 1 in 12 twist barrel. This twist rate doesn't stabilize the longer, high ballistic coefficient bullets as reliably as a newer 1 in 9 twist. However, this flat based, lower ballistic coefficient, 154 grain, coupled with the high velocity of the Weatherby magnum is just what the doctor ordered. I'm getting great accuracy with this cartridge and performance on game is, I believe,
what Roy intended when he introduced this back in 1944. This cartridge is a winner, and breathes new life back into 1 in 12 twist barrels.
