Designed for stopping large, dangerous game, Barnes' round-nose Solids can be depended on to deliver straight, bone-shattering penetration every time. Unlike other so-called "solid" bullets that are actually full metal-jacketed bullets with lead cores, Barnes' Solids are made of tough copper/zinc alloy throughout. There's no separate jacket to shed, and no lead core that can break up or deform. When it strikes heavy bone, the Barnes Solid doesn't disintegrate or deflect; it simply plows on through. *Not for use in standard throat 50 BMG Rifles.*
The 50 BMG 800 grain Banded Solid Bore Rider has a Secant O'Give and is designed for use in single shot rifles with custom throats where overall cartridge length isn’t an issue.
