The Super Crown Crimper is a premium quality tool, machined from solid brass. Brass is used because of the special way it interacts with the plastic that hull tubes are made of.
Even unskived plastic hulls are shaped for proper crimps once they are run through the MEC crimp starter station equipped with a Super Crown.
Easy to install, fits all MEC machines.

This is a high quality item. I bought it to use on the initial crimp of Fiocchi Primed Hulls. The Crimp works very well and puts an excellent crip in the uncrimped plastic. I would recommend this product.

I personally like the Fiocchi hulls, and buy the new
primed hulls. If a pretty, factory looking crimp
is desirable, this crimp starter is a must have .
I use the 8 pnt crimp for regular field loads , and the
6 pnt crimp for buckshot. That's BB thru 00 . If the
fired hull is 8 pnt crimped, I know it wasn't a buck
load . I'll have more than several loadings for these
hulls. If 6 pnt , 2 loadings and then discarded . Just
a practice that works for me .
