Product Information

Designed for Service Rifle competition in the M16A2/AR-15A2, our 22 caliber bullets have set an incredible number of new national records.  The 77 grain #9377 MatchKing® allows seating to an OAL that permits cartridges to be loaded into M16/AR15 magazines.
While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications.  Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.

The #9377 bullet is available in a cannelured version in box sizes of 500 (#9377G) or 50 (#9377GT).  This bullet is also available moly-coated (#9377M).

This bullet requires a barrel TWIST rate of 8” or Faster.

This is not loaded ammunition.

Sierra .224 77 grain Match King

Very happy with the results of this bullet. I originally tried the 77 grain Sierra Tipped Match King, however it is a significantly longer bullet and I had trouble loading it to a safe pressure and getting it to shoot well. This bullet is much more suited to my semi-auto.

I use these bullets for shooting rapid fire sitting (200 yards), and rapid fire prone (300 yards). They work very well in my .223 AR15 Match rifle with RL15 powder. For rapid fire use they must be able to fit into a standard magazine and so must be seated quite deeply to keep OAL under 2.26".

Their ability to resist wind deflection at 300 yards is excellent. I could probably get by with a lighter bullet at 200 yards, but keeping the same bullet for both distances simplifies reloading and ammo management.

Used when breaking in a Remington 700 Tactical 223. Grouped under a half inch @100y while breaking the barrel in. Many keyholes. Pressed them for Dad, and he wants more too. Very happy and ordering more.
