Originally developed for 5.56 Nato cartridge, Vihtavuori’s N133 is a multipurpose rifle powder for centerfire .22 cartridges and PPC caliber cartridges.

N133 is a tubular powder with grain dimensions of 1,1 mm length and 0,8 mm diameter. The burn rate is medium in the scale of our rifle powders, and it works like a charm with .223 Remington, and practical shooters and other using the AR-15 will know the utmost quality of the N133. It is also a supreme choice for handloaders shooting 6 PPC standard rifle, and benchrest shooters all over the world rely on the combination of the Lapua .220 Russian brass and Vihtavuori N133 powder. Works extremely well in the 222 Remington.

The traditional powder for the 222 Remington is IMR4198, along with H322.
In recent years I have had to take what I can find when purchasing powders.
This powder works every bit as well as the two traditional powers and burns much cleaner.
Highly recommended.

Great powder

Every VV powder I have used has metered perfectly, burned cleanly and consistently, and overall been great to use. This powder isn't an exception. It's barely more expensive than domestic powders, and is worth it to me.

I use N133 for max-power loads in a .45-70 bolt action rifle. 400gr speer over xx grains of N133, compressed. When at edge of performance like that, having a very consistently burning powder is really important, and this powder fits the role perfectly. I used to use W748 and my FPS wasn't as consistent.
