Product Information

Berry's Preferred Plated bullets begin as a swaged lead core. The swaged lead cores are tumbled in an electrically charged bath containing high-grade copper ingots. The copper clings to the lead and the longer the bullets remain in the bath, the thicker the plating.  The bullets are plated to the correct size and then taken out of the bath. Plated bullets are not as expensive as jacketed bullets.  They are cleaner than lead but you'll want to stay away from magnum velocities when loading plated bullets.  This is not loaded ammunition.

I size these down to .361 for my old 38 S&W. No leading, great accuracy, good price, another good purchase from Grafs.

Originally bought this product to learn how to reload for the 9x18 Mak.
Turns out that my Cz82 likes this bullet and I came back for more rather than transitioning to the traditional FMJ.
Velocity must be kept moderate but pistol shoots to POA at 25 yards and is comfortable to shoot.
Win/Win in my book.

Good Product

I use this bullet as part of a decent quality, affordable practice round for volume practice with reloads. I otherwise use a hollow point like the XTP for my defense rounds and precision practice. For its purpose, the bullet is an excellent value with reasonably consistent weights.
