Product Information

Berger Elite Hunter Bullets utilize their industry-leading hybrid ogive, which blends tangent and secant designs to optimize efficiency, reduce wind-drift, and minimize sensitivity to seating depth. Elite Hunter Bullets are identical in construction, shape and performance to the Berger Hybrid Target series, except they utilize a thinner J4 Precision Jacket for rapid expansion on game animals. Elite Hunters are designed to penetrate 2-3″ and then begin to expand and create a massive wound cavity up to 15″. The hydrostatic shock causes most animals to drop immediately.

 Optimistic about deer season

I bought these try out in new Weatherby 338 Lapua. Bullets look sleek and wonderful and accurate on 200 yard target. I am anxious to see how these bullets make a clean one shot kill on deer up 600 yards out on land behind our house. Even though I have not got deer yet with these bullets, I feel they are worthy of 5 stars from what I have seen at this point.

Two great companies in my mind are Berger (I have been shooting Berger since they were in a west side strip mall and Walt gave you a discount if you returned the plastic box) and Grafs ( who have kept this reloader going year after year)
My dream hunt is coming up and these 338s will perform
as well on a moose as my 6 PPC does on paper. If the bullet doesn't hit where you aim and then doesn't perform properly then a dream becomes a nightmare
