Hard to find caliber

This is a great price on a hard-to-find caliber which was common to many early (pre-WW I and some pre-WW II) German drillings. Sellier & Bellot is a solid ammunition manufacturer and has been for many years. I'm looking forward to getting this old gun back out on the hunt!

Note that this is the 8x57 JR version (0.318" diameter bullet), not the later 8x57 JRS (0.323" diameter bullet).

I have an old German stalking rifle in 8 x 57 JR, and ammo is extremely hard to find. The rifle is engraved and has exceptional wood, it is too nice to relegate to the 'closet'. With the new ammo, I'm shooting again!

Excellent brass, bullet and performance. Dropped a 10 pointer within 20 ft from a 1910 drilling at 70 yards. Well packaged & shipped. Availability helped my decision to buy this vintage caliber gun.
