Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Product Information

At Hornady, brass is the foundation for what could be the most memorable shot of your lifetime. Extra time and care is taken in the creation of their cases, producing smaller lots that meet strict quality standards. Hornady cases offer reloaders excellent uniformity in wall thickness, weight and internal capacity. They are measured for consistently tight wall concentricity and even run our cases through a pressure calibration test to ensure uniform case expansion during firing. Hornady cases allow proper seating of the bullet, not only in the case, but in the chamber as well. High quality brass contributes to consistent charges and pressures.

Seems to be the same as the brass I have been paying twice as much for.

Check primer pockets before use,

By ROBERT R. on Nov 05, 2018
Two of 50 did not have the primer flash hole completely punched out. This meant if case was reloaded, the completed round would not have fired. I found this out when neck-sizing new brass. Tried to punch first hole thru and lost one case. Inspecting remaining cases and found one more. I drilled the slug out. Surprised this brass made it thru QC, always considered HDY a step above WW and R-P. Be sure you inspect each case. New don't mean it is right.
