The low-profile E-Max hearing protection combines great circuitry with a low profile earcup that's ideal for shotgun shooters and action shooters. The two microphones in the E-Max amplify sounds below 85 decibels, which amplifies normal communication, range commands, and environmental sounds. Above 85 decibels, the microphones shut off for a split second to protect the shooter's hearing.Two microphones - one in each cup - give the user true stereo sound and allow the user to identify the directional source of a sound. Includes an integrated audio input jack allowing music to be played. Runs on 2 AAA batteries (not included). 23NRR

they work

This is my first venture into the electronic ear muffs and I must say they are very nice. They work as advertised. Only used them twice so far but they keep out the bang and let in the voices.

Its simple , they work very well , if you have buzzing from the mic , turn them around from the wind , or replace your batteries. 2. If your not careful , you WILL tear the mic wires when they twist around the pivots , take some time and tape them in position. 3. DO TAKE THE BATTERYS OUT !. 4. the mic side will work if those wires are intact and other broken. 5. When my wire tore , Vista Outdoor replaced the entire unit FREE. They are as quiet as my work LEHIGH PRO's
