Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Product Information

All 50 count listings of Peterson Cartridge casings come in one of their plastic ammo boxes.

Made in the U.S.A.

Match-Grade is a standard that must be held throughout the entire process of manufacturing some of the most consistent, accurate, and durable brass rifle casings available today. From Peterson's small batch production lines to their quality control department, to your bench, and on to the range. Match-grade is the standard that Peterson strives to achieve so that customers can maintain that standard all the way to the target.

It has been called the ultimate long-range deer caliber and a .270 Winchester on steroids.  When Roy Weatherby began developing his belted magnum calibers in 1943 this was his first.  Based on the .300 H&H Magnum and sporting the characteristic Weatherby double radius shoulder, it was necked down to accommodate the .277 bullet.  Its average gain of about 200ft/s over other .270 calibers make it an excellent choice for long-range hunting of medium size game including deer, elk, and pronghorn.

Derek Peterson, president of Peterson Cartridge explains, “To emphasize the importance Roy Weatherby placed on the .270 Weatherby Magnum you need to remember that it was the first magnum cartridge he developed.  Everything else followed from there.  A lot of people do not know this but the first Weatherby cartridge used in Africa was a .270 Weatherby Magnum used to harvest a jackal back in 1948.  When we decided to pair our casings with such an iconic caliber, we couldn’t wait to see the result.  We know what we think of it, but we want to hear from you, so load some up and let us know how we did.”

Warning: Only use Peterson Cartridge Co. casings in firearms in good condition, designed, marked, and chambered for this cartridge. Do not use Peterson Cartridge Co casings for “fire forming” or any other purpose other than what they were designed and tested for. Peterson retains no responsibility for the enclosed casings if they are used outside of the manufacturer’s recommendations.
