- PROVEN PERFORMANCE: Meets FBI protocol for terminal ballistic test requirements.
- POSITIVE CASE CRIMP: Lead core bullet with cannelured jacket provides positive case crimp for use in semiautomatics.
- WIDE RANGE OF GUNS: Designed to fit, feed and function in a variety of firearms, including gas system guns.

Hornady 395 grain sub-x bullets

I have not had the chance to use the these on game. However, they shoot more accurately in my Ruger 450 bushmaster than I expected. I thought the 250s would be hard to beat but these are close. looking forward to using them on wild pigs at some point. I don’t think they will disappoint.

Nothing beats slapping steel with a big slow bullet that speaks with authority.

So far they have been good in accuracy department, but I need a new chronograph to see if the velicity is in the subsonic range. The AR is functioning great with these. More testing will be done, I'm glad these are available for a good heavy bullet loads in the 450 Bushmaster, for sub or supersonic.
New 450 bushmaster load

I have a Ruger Amer Ranch bolt rifle and once I discovered this bullet, I became interested in loading it subsonic as Hornady info states expansion down to 900fps. IMR 4227 turned out to provide a pleasant load to shoot just over 1000fps with 5/8" group at 50 yards. Grafs has a great price and provided quick shipping. Hog hunt planned in not too distant future.
