Product Information

The new 4500 Lube Sizer is a delight to use. It features: solid one piece bottom casting - ideal for use with hard bullet lubricants, a new longer ball knob handle for more leverage for sizing and lubricating the largest bullets, complete with Gas Check Seater and complimentary lube, and easy adjustments for bullet seating depth and lube flow. Purchase the Lyman top punch and sizing die of your choice. Changing bullet diameter requires an easy change of sizing dies. Heater, top punches and sizing dies sold separately.

 Does a perfect job greasing, sizing and gas checking bullets

I bought a Lyman 4500 a little while back for a REALLY good price(was on sale and had discounts going on)! All I have to say is “WOW”!
This lubricator is absolutely great piece of equipment. I’ve heard reviews from the past complaining about linkage on this and the RCBS unit being it’s weak points. Well I think Lyman upgraded the linkage on this machine, because everything is solid steel on this machine. No pot metal or die cast. The only thing not steel on this machine is the orings, and a nylon bushing on the pressure screw.
The Lyman dies are beautifully finished and all are to spec(one I have are).
I do recommend getting the lube heater if you’re going to use harder lubes like Orange Magic. They need the heat to flow properly and so you don’t put excessive pressure on this fine machine. All in all I’m extremely pleased with my choice of the Lyman 4500 over the RCBS. I do think I made the better choice. That’s my opinion, but i think you’ll be pleased too!
Btw Lyman has now started making the body’s out of their trademark yellow color vs the dark grey in the photos, which I’m happy with too, it goes with my American 8 and Lyman case trimmer!
