Very good progressive Shotshell reloader

The set up is very easy based on the provided instructions. There is a period of time needed to tweak the unit to run properly, but that is typical of any type of reloading press. Take your time in the beginning and things will smooth out to make your reloading easier. I fabricated a 14”x24”x3/4” base and mounted the press to it with the provided bolts. I did this to make it easier to clear my reloading area for my other progressive bullet presses. Enjoy. Make sure you get a reloading manual before you go out and buy wads and powder randomly. There are a slew of wads out there that are used in different hull/powder combinations.

I have a MEC 9000G loader and love it. True you could get fancier units from Ponses-Warren, RCBS or Dillon, but they cost twice as much or more. Nothing beats the simplicity and effectiveness of the MEC 9000. I can easily load 400 shells an hour when I am in the rythm and the units is quickly cleaned out, serviced and put away. Parts if you need them are easily and cheaply available and the units is simply rock solid and reliable. Well adjusted it does not foul up if you don't. Plus if you dont have enough space to leave the reloader permanently set up, you can easily put it away and set it up again in minutes. For me this unit does the job so well I would not consider the other more expensive units.

once you get this unit going smoothly it works pretty well. in the first few days everything that can go wrong will go wrong. but you will know this machine inside and out from fixing all these problems.
all things considered, I should have bought the Dillon Precision unit.
