Using these for a P. Webley & Sons under-lever hammered double rifle, firing a .735" slug weighing 820 grains! As another reviewer stated, resizing isn't needed, but a crimp certainly IS needed. Primers look good even after max loads of Pyrodex RS.
Loading for old guns

These are just the ticket when you want to enjoy vintage double barrel shot guns that a gunsmith has deemed safe to shoot.. I am reloading these using data found in "Reloading Brass Shotshells" by R H VanDenburg.
These shells will enable me to enjoy vintage guns modern shells would stress.

If you need brass then this is pretty much it. I have not had to resize them and don't plan to. They hold a roll crimp after firing ball so as there is no expander readily available I recommend a light crimp. Priming is a little difficult and I recommend using the press instead of a hand tool. I have read prohibitions on using smokeless powder but have received expert recommendation for using them in bore rifle loads and have done so without incident.
