Great for hogs

Hard to find a 400 grain bullet for a 45-70 load. These are perfect for hogs.
458 Bullets

Just started loading these bullets for both 458 SOCOM and 45-70. Impressed with the accuracy and price point for a heavy 400 grain jacketed bullet. Highly recommend these projectiles and you cannot beat Graf and Sons customer service and shipping.
45-70
By Zachary S. on Jan 03, 2020
I normally shoot cast lead out of my 1895 Marlin to save on my shoulder. But i had a desire to make some full power loads to shake things up!
These worked great. They were accurate and I had no issues with them. excellent for the price!

I have used these Speer bullets for years.I got a boar hog last fall, shooting from my back steps. He was about 70 yards.I didn't weigh him but he was 5 feet long not counting the tail.Probably 400 or so pounds.Marlin 1895 ,400 gr. Speer ,xx grs. of AA 5744 @ 1300 FPS.I intend to use these bullets in my Shiloh Sharps 45/100 for more hogs.
Great Value

Over $4.00 a box cheaper than other places. That other place was Speer. I think they sent me all of the rejects as there were several with nicks and dings in each box that I bought.
Great value

Speer SP bullets really are great value. They are consistent, sized right, and did I mention cheap?
I don't expect them, nor have tested them, in a benchrest or match rifle situation. But for practice or hunting, they have always worked as well as I needed them to.
Note: These bullets have 2 cannelures. The lower serrated one fits an OAL of 458 SOCOM. The upper, smooth cannelure matches .45-70.
