Not "exactly" the same as the non-short barrel bullets
By Steven D. on Apr 15, 2020
I recently received these in an order, and compared them to the 230 grain "standard" gold dots I had on hand.
A sample of 5 of each variety showed the the standard bullets are slightly longer (~0.005") than the short barrel, but this could be a normal manufacturing tolerance. The inside cavity has a flat bottom compared to the tapered cone in the standard bullets, and it reminds me a little of the old Speer flying ash can hollow point. Great hollowpoints, and happy to have got them before they disappeared!

Feeding problems
By Bob H. on May 11, 2012
I've been using Speer Gold dot bullets in my Sig 9mm and my Para 45acp with absolutely no problems at all. Then I decided to try the short BBL gold dots in my 45acp and my 9mm. Now I can't get the dam things to feed, they jam on every shot so that's turned both of my autos into single shot pistols. If anyone out there has a solution, I'd appreciate their help.
