Light weight, allows for varying ring spacing

I use the Weaver 92a base on several 10" Contender barrels along with Weaver Classic rings and Leupold M8-2x scopes. This makes for a light weight and compact setup that is easy to shoot offhand and fits well in shoulder holsters without hanging up when drawn. I also like that it allows the rings to be spaced wide apart to take stress off the scope tube.
